TCP/IP to BBS, BBS to TCP/IP version 1.10 of WA3PXX PXX Gateway.
Once the gateway is established any "local users" users should specify
the gateway station as the default SMTP gateway.
Users may:
1 Send mail to any user connected via existing BBS store-n-forward
WA7MBL/RLI links.
2 Get mail delivered directly to there personal computer.
3 Get current WA7MBL Bulletins delivered directly to users
via SMTP.
4 Create WA7MBL style bulletins from SMTP mail messages.
5 Create MBL/RLI style Private (SP) messages from SMTP.
To send a message to a user W3XYZ on a hostname W3IWI via BM.EXE :
To: W3XYZ@W3IWI { Since each user defines the gateway}
{ as your station...The mail gets }
{ shipped out to the BBS }
or
To: W3XYZ%W3IWI@WA3PXX
{ Where WA3PXX is the specified }
{ gateway to PBBS world. }
To get bulletins delivered directly to your PC ask your PXX Gateway
SYSOP to add your call ("host") to the FORWARD.LST file.
To send mail to a TCP/IP user via the PXX Gateway. Assuming the gateway
serving you is WA3PXX have users send mail to you at WA3PXX. Just as you
would with a traditional BBS.
To send a WA7MBL Bulletins by a TCP/IP :
Specify [B] as the first 3 characters of a Subject. This will force the
whole message to become a Bulletin as it is passed to the BBS.
To send a "private" message specify [P] as the first 3 characters of the
subject.
